Oxymels are herbal preparations traditionally used as a preventative tonic to support ongoing health.  They have a long history of being used as a natural cough suppressant and immune-booster during times of need when our body could use some help fighting off sickness, especially those types of illness involving respiratory symptoms (coughs, congestion, etc).

An OXYMEL by definition is an herbal preparation involving honey and vinegar used as an expectorant.  An EXPECTORANT by definition is a substance which promotes the secretion of sputum by the air passages, used to treat coughs and congestion.  

Our oxymels (as well as any of our products involving honey) are crafted with local honeys sourced from ethically placed hives and small family farmers based in southeastern Massachusetts, primarily from our neighbors in Freetown and Rochester, MA.  Bottles will specify the town in which the honey originated and may vary due to seasonal supply.
